My overall assessment of your manuscript will address plot and character development strengths and weaknesses. I will point out areas where improvement is needed and offer general suggestions. No changes are made to your manuscript.

BASIC PROOFREAD

Aotearoa Editorial uses the following U.S. industry standards for manuscript edits and reviews:

||Submission Guidelines:

We accept hard copy and electronic submissions. Please ensure that all work is formatted in Times New Roman or Courier 12-point font and double-spaced. Manuscripts submitted in other fonts/formats will not be accepted.

HARD COPY:

Single or double-sided pages are accepted. Clients are responsible for the payment of all postage costs.

ELECTRONIC COPY:

Work can be sent as an e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word® or in Rich Text Format.

Electronic submissions are edited with the Microsoft Word® Track Changes feature. All changes or suggestions within the document are marked in red for easy recognition. Track Changes allows you to accept or reject any suggested changes. If you do not have access to Microsoft Word, please inform us at the beginning of our working relationship so we can discuss other arrangements.

All submitted work is edited by our Senior Editor unless otherwise discussed prior to work commencement. Should Aotearoa not be able to meet your deadline, arrangement can be made for the work to be subcontracted or other editorial services recommended.

||Payment Criteria:

Aotearoa Editorial charges by the page. Fees are determined by which services you request and are assessed by an average word count per page of 250 words. To work out your average page count, divide your manuscript’s total word count by 250. The number of actual printed pages may differ from this calculated page count.

We require advance payment for editorial work. You may choose to pay in 100-page blocks, if this is more feasible for your personal budget.
